Terms of Service
Version of 27 July 2026
These terms govern access to the Wicket AI API (the “Service”). By using the Service you confirm that you accept them. If any of them is unacceptable to you, do not use the Service.
1. What the Service is
Wicket AI is an OpenAI-compatible API gateway. The Service accepts requests over a protocol compatible with the OpenAI API, forwards them to language-model providers and returns the response to you. Keys and balance are managed through a Telegram bot.
The Service is independent. Wicket AI is not an OpenAI product, is not affiliated with OpenAI and does not act on its behalf. Model names are used to indicate compatibility and which model handles a request.
2. Account and API keys
Access is granted through your Telegram account. You create API keys in the bot; each key is bound to your account and all usage under it is charged to your balance.
- A key is displayed once, at creation. Store it yourself — the Service keeps only a hash and cannot show it again.
- You are responsible for keeping your keys safe. Any request carrying your key is treated as yours and billed to your balance.
- If a key is compromised, delete it in the bot and create a new one. Deletion takes effect immediately.
- Sharing keys with third parties in order to resell access is not permitted without prior agreement.
3. Balance and billing
Billing is prepaid: you top up a balance and the cost of each served request is deducted from it.
- Cost is calculated from the number of request and response tokens at the rate for the specific model. Current rates are published in the bot under “Prices”.
- Input, output and cache reads are charged at separate rates; cache writes are not charged.
- The charge is applied after the response is returned, because the cost is only known from actual token usage. As a result the balance may go slightly negative, by at most one request.
- At a zero or negative balance requests are refused with HTTP
402until you top up. - A model absent from the published rate card is billed at the base rate — there is no free access.
- Costs are rounded up to one micro-dollar (1/1,000,000 USD).
An unused balance does not expire while the account is active. Refunds of the unused remainder are available on request; funds already spent (requests already served by the provider) are not refundable.
An incorrect charge is fixed by adjusting the balance. Every movement of funds is recorded in the operations ledger available under “Balance”.
4. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to:
- break applicable law or infringe the rights of others, including intellectual property rights;
- produce sexual material involving minors or content aimed at exploiting them — this results in an immediate ban with no refund;
- generate malware or tooling for attacking systems you neither own nor have permission to test;
- obtain instructions for making weapons or explosive, chemical, biological or radiological substances;
- run bulk unsolicited messaging or phishing, or impersonate another person or organisation;
- incite violence or distribute material that degrades people based on protected characteristics;
- circumvent the Service’s technical controls, including rate limits and the balance check;
- resell access without written agreement.
The usage policies of the model providers handling your requests apply in addition to these terms. Breaching their policies is a breach of these terms.
5. Your content and generated output
You retain rights to the data you send. The Service uses it solely to process the request and passes it to the model provider only to the extent needed to obtain a response.
The Service does not claim ownership of generated output. However:
- model responses may be inaccurate, outdated or fabricated — verify them before use;
- responses are not legal, medical, financial or other professional advice;
- identical prompts from different users may yield similar output, so uniqueness is not guaranteed;
- you are responsible for how you use the output, including respecting third-party rights.
6. Availability and limits
The Service is provided “as is”, with no guarantee of uninterrupted operation. We aim for stability but do not offer a service level agreement.
- Outages are possible, including planned maintenance.
- Operation depends on model provider availability: their failures and limits affect the Service.
- Rate limits may be applied to protect against excessive load.
- The set of available models and the rates may change. Rate changes are announced in advance through the bot.
7. Liability
The Service is not liable for lost profit, data loss or other indirect damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the Service.
Total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
These limitations do not apply to the extent such limitation is not permitted by applicable law.
8. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time: delete your keys in the bot and stop sending requests.
The Service may suspend or terminate access if:
- the “Acceptable use” section is breached;
- your actions threaten the operation or security of the Service or of other users;
- a model provider or applicable law requires it.
Where a ban follows a breach involving material about minors, or an attempt to circumvent billing, the unused balance is not refunded. Otherwise the remainder is refunded on request.
9. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. The version date is shown at the top of the page. Substantive changes — rates, usage restrictions, refund handling — are announced in the bot before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that constitutes acceptance of the new version.
10. Contact
Questions about these terms, refunds or the Service itself: use the Telegram bot. Personal data handling is described in the Privacy Policy.
